Chicago O'Hare's busy week still hasn't ended. German carrier, Air Berlin, has just announced that it will begin direct flights from Berlin to Chicago beginning next year. The nonstop service from the German capital will begin on March 23, 2013 with 3 flights a week. On May 1st the service will increase to 5 flights a week. The flights will arrive in Chicago at 12:00 noon and depart back to Germany at about 5:00 PM. The service will utilize Airbus a330-200 aircraft. Air Berlin is a member of the One World Alliance, which means connections with American Airlines, who is also an alliance member with a large hub at O'Hare, will be very easy. Chicago will be Air Berlin's 8th destination in the United States. The airline already serves Chicago, Fort Myers, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York-JFK, and San Francisco.
