Hainan Airlines to Operate 787’s Beijing-Chicago

Hainan Airlines has announced that they intend to start regularly scheduled service from Beijing, China to Chicago O'Hare. The service will begin in April 2013 when the airline receives their first Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The service will provide the first direct flights from China to Chicago to be operated by a Chinese carrier. American and United currently operate on the route. Chicago will only be Hainan's third destination in North America. The airline currently operates Airbus a340's to Toronto and a330's to Seattle. Right now Hainan will operate the route with 4 weekly flights, but is likely to increase it to a daily service if the flights fill up. Hainan will codeshare with American Airlines, allowing easy connections from it's Chicago hub.
