Qatar Airways to expand North American Routes

Doha, Qatar based Qatar Airways has announced that it plans on greatly expanding its links to North America. As the carrier begins to take delivery of its 60 new Boeing 787 Dreamliner's, it will have more aircraft to put on these new routes. The airline plans to begin service to Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, and Detroit within a year. Qatar will also increase its services in New York to three daily roundtrip flights out of Kennedy International. The airline already serves Washington-Dulles and Houston Bush with daily rotations. The airline aims to increase service from 113 to 170 destinations worldwide. It isn't yet known if the 787's will be used on these routes, or if they will utilize Qatar's existing heavies. Check back for more details as they are announced.
