Singapore Begins a380 Service to New York – JFK

Singapore Airlines is now offering flights to and from New York's John F Kennedy International Airport on the Airbus a380-800 Super Jumbo Jet. The flights include a stop in Frankfurt, Germany for refueling. The routes, SIA25 and SIA26, previously utilized Boeing 747-400 aircraft. The a380 will offer a much more comfortable experience on the 20 hour flight. Singapore's a380's offer suites with double beds, a state of the art in-flight entertainment system, and more comfortable seats. The inaugural flight touched down in New York at about 11:00 this morning and will depart back to Germany and on to Singapore at 8:00 PM tonight. JFK is the tenth destination for Singapore's a380's and the second in North America after Los Angeles. Kennedy already sees a380's from Korean Airlines, Air France, Lufthansa, and Emirates.
